My Sister

I just received my sister's comment on my older post. She is coming back today :).

Oh ya, I did walk around on her blog, but she never update it almost one year. :(

Suddenly I have many thoughts come to mind...

Since the day my sister went to Singapore, I was less keeping in touch with her (only via YM if she's online, but it's rare). Sometimes I rather blame myself that I couldn't do more things to her as before I did. Remembering the days when we were kids, we're having a lot of happiness, sadness, silliness, laughing, crying, and many, many more. These memories quite squeezing my tears.

As an elder brother, protecting my sister from harms is necessary. But when she's feeling lonely out there, when she's running in trouble, when she's feeling sad, ..., I was just doing nothing here. I don't know why I could forgot a very simple 160-length of short message or a 30-seconds of phone call.

I remember one day, she asked me to take her and her friends from Singapore to sightseeing around Batam, but I declined because I was busying my stupid thesis. Yet another one day, I told her I would go to Singapore with couple of my friends for 2 days, she asked me to bring her along with us, and I said OK to her. But when the last hour that we're about going back to Batam, I just remembered that I forgot to contact her. I was feeling so guilty when my eldest sister told me that she was waiting my call all day.

All of these silly things I have done to her, she never took in mind. As I remember one day when I went to Singapore, she took me strolling around until almost broke down my foot.

I feel very, very sorry to her. I do not deserve as a good elder brother.

I miss my childhood so much.

Today she's coming back home :).

Eagle Eye

I heard about this film from my boss several months ago. When the first time I watched its teaser trailer, there's a man who has been controlled by a "phone call", directing him to do something that makes him suspected as a terrorist.

Few days ago, this film has been showing on theater and few friends of mine have watched it. Their comment about this film is: "Thumbs up!". Well, this quite motivated me to have the urge watching this film on upcoming Saturday (yesterday). So, I went to theater and watch it with my friends last night.

We were late and missed at the beginning of the film, which is the important part that describes the motive of the "bad guy" at the end of the film (I have read its plot on wikipedia). The story begins after the mysterious death of Jerry Shaw's (Shia LaBeouf) twin-brother, Ethan Shaw.

The entire film is all about being "eagle eyed". Quite thrilling at first 30 more minutes which is the main actor (Shia LaBeouf) and actress (Michelle Monaghan) who were being directed by a phone call to escape from the police chase. The thriller eventually cool down in the middle of the film, and it put some excitement of computer generated visual effects while they're investigating the truth behind.

There are few points quite disappointed me in the film, such as the true face of that "phone call" is too early show up while I haven't had enough the feeling of curiousness; the technologies it used is too awesome but yet somewhat implausible (who knows it really happen in the future, haha); and some scenes that do not make sense. But overall, this film just thrilling, and its idea, cast and story is good. It's worth to watch :).
